Memorial Day at 9:30 am

This walk is for everyone in the neighborhood.  Dogs are welcome.  There is a slow walking group and a fast walking group.  The walk takes place on the morning of Memorial Day, weather-permitting, and starts at Burning Tree School.  Refreshments are served, and it is a good way to meet and connect with your neighbors.

Fridays in the summer from 5:00-7:00 pm

*Please Note: Due to the pandemic, while current circumstances don’t allow for in-person gatherings like this, we’d like to continue the tradition by hosting Zoom gatherings of neighbors who live close to each other. We can set up the Zoom meeting and send email invitations to the 15 to 20 families who live closest to you. We’d be happy to include some of your friends as well, as long as they live in the Burning Tree Village area. If you would like to be the “host” for such a gathering, please contact us at 240-389-3829 or

Front Yard Fridays are a casual gathering of neighbors young and old on summer Fridays from 5:00 to 7pm.  We hope you will stop by to see old friends and meet new.  Our hosts offer their front yard, a few chairs, and some snacks and beverages.  Guests drop by bringing conversation, bikes, toys or games, and perhaps another chair.  Additional snacks and drinks are welcome.

Dates will be circulated in the Spring
